Welcome to Fort Collins, Colorado

Thanks for joining us this summer at FoCo Fondo! We want to make your travel easy with some recommended travel resources. Summer is an excellent time of year to visit. Be sure to book early, as things do fill up. We’ll update the details below with coupon codes and sign-up information as they become available.

Be sure to take advantage of the Hitch-a-Ride program, which offers incentives for things like carpooling, taking the shuttle, and riding instead of driving.

Accommodations

HITCH A RIDE

HITCH A RIDE

A cartoon character with a blue, melting face, yellow boxing gloves, yellow shoes, and a cap labeled "Foco Fondo" giving a thumbs-up. The character has big, expressive eyes and a big smile.

Our Hitch A Ride program is as straightforward as its motto: For climate, community, and cost sharing. By rethinking our travel to events, we can hit these three C’s and all be better for it in more ways than one.

Just shuttle your way to Fort Collins, carpool, or ride to the start, and you’re doing your part. A huge shoutout to Simple Steps, Better Air & Kuat Racks, for their support of this program! It wouldn’t be possible without them, so give them a high five next time you see them (or a virtual one on the internet!). Riders who shuttle, carpool, or ride can enter themselves to win prizes, with a grand prize of a Kuat Transfer V2 2-Bike Universal Bike Rack! The drawing will take place on Sunday at the awards on the main stage at 3:30pm. You must be present to win.

Shuttle via Landline from Denver International Airport (DEN)

Carpooling

Get those playlists ready, start them all with “Hitch-a-Ride” by Boston and turn it up to eleven… or the highest that radio volume goes. How many seats are in your vehicle? That’s how many seats we want butts in on the way to FoCo Fondo from wherever you’re coming from. Carpool and share that you did at registration via our Hitch a Ride program for a chance at winning a Transfer V2 from Kuat Racks.

Just like how bikes are more fun with more people, filling more than one seat in your vehicle on the way to FoCo Fondo is the fun way to get there. If fun isn’t enough of a reason for you to fill the car seats with new or old friends, hopefully these incentives will change your mind.

It’s Fine to Ride

Ride to FoCo Fondo (instead of drive) and utilize our free bag drop service. Changing tents are available for ya! If you think you will be out after sunset (approx 8:20pm), don’t forget to pack some lights with you.

Bag drop will be held at registration starting at 5am event day. Please bring a closeable or zippered bag. We’ll tag it with your race number and you will need your ID or race number to get it at the end of the day. Yes, your friend or family member can get your bag, but they will need to physically have your ID or race number.

A sidewalk sign with a blue background and pink text, indicating a bag drop area for a water activity company called 'Hitch a Ride' with a cartoon globe mascot, and the slogan 'It's cool to pool.' In the background, outdoor tents, tables, trees, and a building are visible on a cloudy evening.
